Changing your address and personal details with the Cyprus Tax Department

Phone numbers, addresses and email you change yourself in Tax For All. Everything else in the tax register — your name, your category, your activity, the language the department writes to you in — goes through form T.D.2003, which is now sent as a message inside the same portal.

Who this is for

You need this if

  • You have moved house, changed phone number or email, and want the Tax Department’s post and messages to reach you.
  • Your name has changed, or you want a trade name recorded against your tax number.
  • Your situation has changed: from employee to self-employed or the other way round, pensioner, director of a company, no longer working in Cyprus.
  • Your return in TAXISnet shows an address you left long ago.

You do not need this if

  • You have no tax number yet. Registration is a separate application; the details you enter there are the ones this guide changes later.
  • You want to change the bank account for refunds. That is a different form, T.D.2008, with its own guide.
  • You are changing details with the Social Insurance Services or the Civil Registry. The tax register is updated separately, and neither office passes changes on for you.

What to prepare

  • Access to your Tax For All account, either with its own username and password or through CY Login. Without it, the fallback is email to a district office.
  • Your tax identification number (TIN) and your name exactly as the register holds it: part A of the form asks for both, and they are the only mandatory fields apart from the declaration.
  • For a change of name: a copy of your identification document. For a trade name: the trade name certificate.
  • For a change of category away from self-employed: evidence of the change. For a new or changed business activity: evidence of the activity.
  • For a change of email made on the form: your identity card, both sides.
  • For a termination or re-registration in the tax register, or for an administrator, liquidator or heir: the evidence of that event or appointment.

Steps

  1. 1

Change contact details yourself, in the profile

Telephone numbers, addresses and email addresses can be changed by the taxpayer in the “Profile” section of the Tax For All account, without a form. The T.D.2003 itself lists the same items — contact numbers, addresses, email and TFA agent details — as the ones you can modify after logging in.

PracticeIf you entered a post-office box when you registered, it takes all the paper post whatever you choose as the main address. Change or remove the box too, or the letters keep going there.

  2. 2

    Use T.D.2003 for everything else

Name and surname, trade name, nationality, country of residence, occupation, your category in Cyprus (employee in which sector, self-employed, passive income earner, pensioner, student, not employed, director or shareholder with the company’s TIN), business activities, termination or re-registration in the register, related contacts and the language of communication. Fill in only what is changing.

  3. 3

Attach the evidence each part asks for

The form says what goes with each change: an identification document for a new name, the certificate for a trade name, evidence for a move out of the self-employed category, evidence of activities in part D, proof of termination or re-registration in part E, proof of appointment for an administrator, liquidator or heir in part F. A change of email made on the form needs the identity card, both sides.

  4. 4

    Sign the declaration

Part H is mandatory: your name in capitals, your identity number, signature, date and phone number, and the capacity in which you sign — the taxpayer, a representative, a partner, an administrator or trustee, a director, a secretary or an authorised official.

  5. 5

Send it as a message in Tax For All

In the Tax For All account open “Inbox”, then “New Message”. In the message details choose “Forms” as what the enquiry is about, “Change of Circumstances – TD 2003” as the topic, and “No” to whether it relates to a specific tax account. Write TD2003 in the message field, upload the form and select “Send message”.

  6. 6

No access to the portal: email a district office

If you cannot get into Tax For All, the form’s own instructions allow sending it to the email address of a district office of the Tax Department. The department publishes one address per district for direct taxation — Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos.

  7. 7

    Wait for the email

The change is made by an officer of the department, not automatically. When the officer has completed it, you are notified at your email address.

  8. 8

    Check what TAXISnet shows

TAXISnet does not keep an address of its own. Its registration guide says the correspondence address on the screen is the one declared to the Tax Department, and tells you to confirm it even if it has changed and correct it with form T.D.2003. The email address TAXISnet uses is changed separately, by writing to taxisnet@mof.gov.cy.

Where people go wrong

  • Changing the address in TAXISnet and expecting the register to follow. It works the other way round: TAXISnet displays what the register holds, and the register is changed in Tax For All or with T.D.2003.
  • Sending T.D.2003 for a new phone number or address. Those you change yourself in the profile; the form is for what the profile does not let you touch.
  • A new surname without the identification document behind it. The form asks for one, and a name that does not match the document is the usual reason a change stalls.
  • Leaving the old post-office box in place after a move. A box takes all the paper post, whatever address is marked as main.
  • Assuming one office tells the others. The Social Insurance Services, the Civil Registry and the VAT side of the department each keep their own details; a self-employed person changing occupation or workplace also has a form for Social Insurance.
  • Starting a second registration because the details in the first one are wrong. The register is corrected, not replaced — and the TIN itself cannot be changed to the new number format.

Anything marked “practice” is what the department does in the office, not a rule you can hold it to. Rules carry a source.

Questions

How do I change my address with the Cyprus Tax Department?

Log in to Tax For All and change it in the “Profile” section. Telephone numbers, addresses and email addresses are among the details a taxpayer changes directly; form T.D.2003 is only needed for the details the profile does not cover.

What is form T.D.2003 for?

For changes to the tax register that you cannot make yourself in the profile: name and surname, trade name, nationality, country of residence, occupation, category (employee, self-employed, pensioner and so on), business activities, termination or re-registration, administrators, liquidators, heirs and auditors, and the language of communication.

Where do I submit T.D.2003?

Through your Tax For All account: Inbox, New Message, “Forms”, topic “Change of Circumstances – TD 2003”, “No” to the specific-account question, TD2003 in the message field, then upload the form and send. If you cannot access the portal, the form allows sending it to the email address of a district office.

Why does TAXISnet still show my old address?

Because TAXISnet displays the correspondence address held in the tax register. Its own registration guide tells you to confirm the displayed address even where it has changed, and to correct it through form T.D.2003. Once the register is updated, that is the address TAXISnet shows.

How do I know the change has been made?

The change is processed by an officer of the Tax Department, and you are notified by email when it has been completed. Nothing is posted to confirm it.

Can I change my tax number to the new format?

No. The department’s FAQ on modifying registration details says a request to change an existing tax identification number to the new format cannot be granted. Taxpayers registered before March 2023 keep their existing numbers.
